1. What this page covers
This page explains the cookies, local browser storage and similar technologies that may be used when you visit or use the Clean Copy website, web application, account pages or browser extension.
For information about personal data more generally, see the Privacy Policy.
2. Necessary storage
Clean Copy and the services it relies on may use cookies or similar browser storage where needed to provide core functionality, authentication, account sessions, security, fraud prevention, billing flows or other requested features.
This kind of storage may be created by Clean Copy or by service providers used for the relevant feature.
3. Clean Copy local storage
Clean Copy uses local browser or extension storage to make the product work smoothly and remember choices on your device. Depending on the product and enabled features, this may include settings such as:
- Cleaning preferences
- Max Clean and Clean Links preferences
- Image and file-cleaning preferences
- Theme and interface preferences
- Notification and extension feature preferences
- Whether certain content should be remembered locally
Your cleaning content is not turned into account-tracking data. Text, cleaned text, clipboard contents, images, files, file contents and locally remembered content remain local during normal Clean Copy processing.
4. Account and session storage
When you sign in, authentication services may use browser storage needed to keep you signed in securely and associate requests with your Clean Copy account.
Signing out may remove or invalidate active authentication information, while ordinary local product preferences can remain on that browser or device.
5. Synced preferences
When you are signed in, supported Clean Copy preferences may also be synced to your account so they can follow you across supported browsers or devices.
Website preferences and browser-extension preferences are stored separately. Preference syncing does not sync the actual text, images, files, clipboard contents or remembered content you clean.
6. Third-party services
Clean Copy currently relies on services including Supabase for authentication and account functionality, Stripe for payments and billing, Resend for transactional email, and Cloudflare for website delivery and security.
These providers may use their own necessary cookies, browser storage or security mechanisms when you interact with the parts of Clean Copy that depend on them. When you are redirected to a provider such as Stripe, that provider's own policies also apply to its pages.
7. Advertising and optional analytics
Clean Copy does not currently intentionally use advertising or marketing cookies, and the current Clean Copy website does not intentionally set optional analytics cookies for tracking your use of the product.
Because those optional tracking categories are not currently part of Clean Copy, there is currently no separate optional-cookie preference banner. If optional analytics, advertising or similar tracking is added in the future, this page and any required controls will be updated before or when those technologies are used.
8. Managing local storage
You can clear cookies and local website data through your browser settings. You can also remove extension-local data by using relevant Clean Copy controls, clearing extension storage where supported, or removing the extension.
Clearing storage can sign you out, reset local preferences, remove locally remembered content or require Clean Copy to recreate necessary local state.
9. Changes to this page
We may update this page when Clean Copy features, storage practices, service providers or applicable requirements change. The latest version will be published here with its revision date.
