Max Clean
Gives prose a stronger cleanup pass: joins wrapped lines, removes Markdown clutter and unlocks optional rules such as Auto Correct and Hard Remove.

Does my text, file or image leave my device?
Local Clean Copy processing stays in your browser. If you are signed in and an AI Enhancement option is enabled, only the content needed for that selected AI operation is sent through Nobeware's server-side AI processing to OpenAI. If AI is off, unavailable or limited, Clean Copy uses local processing.
How does AI Enhancement work?
AI Enhancement can improve difficult image, screen or scanned file recognition. AI Text Review can correct high-confidence grammar, punctuation, capitalization and word-choice issues, and repair or add meaningful paragraph breaks after local cleaning without rewriting the document. It needs an internet connection, is configurable in Preferences, and is included subject to reasonable usage limits. The local cleaner remains available automatically when AI cannot be used.
What does Clean Copy actually clean?
It removes hidden Unicode, unusual spaces, broken line endings, copied formatting and recognized link tracking. It can also clean supported files, strip image metadata, extract text with OCR, convert or compress supported files, and use stronger optional cleanup through Max Clean.
What are Max Clean and Auto Correct?
Max Clean is the stronger optional text-cleaning mode for things such as wrapped lines, Markdown clutter and unusual character noise. Auto Correct is a separate Max Clean setting for clear English spelling, grammar, punctuation and typing mistakes. Both are configurable in Preferences.
Will Clean Copy change or break my content?
Standard cleaning is designed to preserve what you wrote while removing technical clutter. Clean Copy also protects recognized code, tables, emoji and language-sensitive characters. Features that can make more visible changes — such as Max Clean, Auto Correct and Clean Links — are optional and configurable.
What can I do with files and images?
You can clean supported documents, remove image metadata, extract readable text from screenshots or photos with local OCR, and convert or compress compatible files. Available controls depend on the file type you add.
What does the Chrome extension add?
The extension adds browser-level tools such as Automatic Copy Cleaning, Capture copied content, Scan Text from an area of your screen, keyboard shortcuts and popup access while you browse. The website keeps the same core cleaner, file tools and settings without intercepting your system clipboard.
